I am in complete amazement of my Awesome God!! He is always teaching me to trust in Him.
Not that I don't trust in Him, cause I do. But there has come some times in my life that I pray believing God hears me but NOT REALLY BELIEVING He will do what I am asking Him. Let me give you an example........
About 6 yrs ago we met a young man from Mozambique,Africa through a group visiting our church from Teen Missions. They were foreign teen missionaries come to share the gospel with the USA, YES!!, I said the USA. This was a divine appointment by God as he (Victor)has become a very important part of our life. (If you know us you know we have many adopted daughters/sons even if they aren't fully ours.)
In 2003 after our oldest daughter graduated high school she felt the Lord calling her to Africa. At that time Victor was in the US going to seminary so she went to live in Mozambique for 3months to take care of 33 orphans. This was a true blessing to his family and ours but especially to the orphans.(many had lost their parents to aids but some mothers just couldn't take care of their children since their husbands had died.)
During the time Victor was in the US he became part of our family and another family. He spent Christmas vacation with us and we learned many things from him and he from us. But the most important thing that happened during this time was each one of us learning to trust in God alone for all things. Victor had started an orphanage in Nampula and he had a strong desire for marriage. We prayed many times for God to bring him a wife. This was definitely a trying time for him. But God is so Faithful and as I continue to learn His timing is always perfect!!
This week Victor was able to visit us along with his new bride. We are thrilled!! She is the One!
We all prayed,Victor obeyed and waited on the Lord. They are an Awesome Team!!
The other prayer that the Lord was faithful in answering for me was that I had desired for Victor to be able to visit our church after we moved to Ga. Every time I thought he was going to come to the states his visa was denied and he wasn't able to come. But last Wenesday night he was here, he was sharing with the youth in our church and I was overwhelmed with emotion. What a special blessing!! What an answer to prayer! What an awesome God I serve and He is doing an Amazing work in His time.
It gives me great pleasure to introduce to you Victor and Christina Carlos.........http://www.victorandchristina.blogspot.com/
